We would like to say thank you so much to everyone who joined us at our MAMA yoga event! It was truly a joy to share space with you and create a moment of calm, connection, and restoration together. Your presence helped make the gathering meaningful, and we hope you left feeling refreshed and supported.

We’re grateful for your continued involvement with Moms Advocating for Moms Alliance as we create safe and empowering spaces for mothers at every stage of their journey.

We’re deeply grateful to Jessica Callahan for leading such a thoughtful and grounding yoga session, and to On Rotation Brewery for generously welcoming us into their space. Your support helped create a beautiful experience for our community.

MAMA's first Meet and Greet event was held at North Dallas Doula Associates' establishment, promoting a safe place and open discussion. We discussed the birth of Moms Advocating for Moms Alliance and House Bill 4553. Thank you to everyone who were able to show up, watch online, and support this event. House Bill 4553
"Malik's Law"

Introduced into the House March 12, 2025, this bill is relating to the mandatory reporting of birth outcomes by licensed midwives in the State of Texas.

Currently licensed midwives are not required to report any outcomes relating to transfer, mortality, or morbidity to a standard reporting system.

April 3, 2025 - Bill referred to the Committee of Public Health

May 8, 2025 - HB 4553 voted yes out of the Committee of Public Health with 7 ayes and 4 nays.
May 14, 2025 - Statement issued, due to time constraints, HB 4553 did not pass the 2025 legislation.
